My amazing Grandpa

My grandpa passed away on Wednesday, February 11th. He was 94 1/2 years old and lived such a great life. He's one of the most amazing people I've ever met or even heard of!! He was a doctor for 60 years before retiring... and THEN he continued in the medical profession by volunteering at a few clinics in Tulsa a few days a week and speaking for, and promoting, a wellness/nutritional company, Mannatech. He continued this until just last June when he moved in with my parents and my Aunt (split 2 weeks at each place back and forth).

At the funeral 4 different people spoke about him and the stories were so neat to hear. Of course I was sad, but I left feeling so inspired. He lived his life in such a way that makes others want to be a better person. He was thought of so highly and so favorably by so many people... I googled his name just for the fun of it and it came back with so many pages! (People sighting his work, people talking about him, things that he'd written, etc...) He will truly be missed!! I can only hope that I can live my life in such a compassionate, hard-working, Godly, happy, and kind way!

Here is my grandpa when he won the Spirit of Giving Award a few years ago for Mannatech. He was 90 years old and still going strong!

A lot of our family was in town for the funeral. We all got together several times over the week/weekend and spend time together and also told a lot of stories about what a neat person he was.
