Trip to Houston and Pierson's first plane ride

The weekend of March 6-9th we went down to Houston to visit Courtney and Josh. We had the BEST time! The trip down was Pierson's first plane ride... since he's under 2 he can fly for free if he rides as a lap child... well we flew Southwest and had a stop in Dallas on the way there and on the way back... and we ended up having all 3 seats on 3 of the 4 legs. Pierson did GREAT! We gave him a bottle, sippy cup, or pacifier each time we took off or landed and it didn't seem to phase him at all.
He LOVED it when we sat him in his own seat for part of the first flight... he thought it was so cool!

He was so tired he slept through the entire flight from Dallas to Houston... Here he is snuggling up to his dad just before he dozed off.

Well we got to Houston Friday afternoon and Courtney, Josh, and sweet baby Mason picked us up from the airport. After seeing their house, unloading the car, and stopping by the store for some Pierson necessities we didn't want to bring on the plane... we headed to dinner. We at at Lupe's Tortilla's on the patio and it was delicious! And fun! After dinner we went back to their house and put Pierson to bed and just hung out and chatted.

Here are some super cute pictures of Mason! He was just about 3 months old in these pics and he's sooo stinkin cute!
Mason and Josh

Oh my gosh I love this picture!!

Snuggling up to his mommy! Courtney is such an amazing mom! I couldn't believe how on top of everything she was at this point... I thought back to when Pierson was that age and 1/2 the time I didn't get ready for the day until the afternoon and I was still trying to figure so many things out. Courtney seemed to have everything together and just took care of him with such ease! AND she was up and ready to go do stuff in the morning... I'm so impressed!!

Look how cute he is! And this little guy has got some great ab muscles... riding in the car his legs were up a ton of the time... how does he hold them up... my abs would be killing me :-)

On Saturday we got up and Courtney did her daily walk (yes... she's already back to her tiny self... makes me sick!) and I ran in a little 5K their neighborhood was having. After that we got ready and headed to Galveston for the afternoon. We had lunch right by the beach and then took the boys in strollers and walked along the beach for a few miles. It was beautiful weather and was so fun! (except my camera batteries died so I don't have any other pictures... the one below is from my phone)
Pierson's first view of the ocean :-)

Cute little Mason!

On Sunday we went to the Houston Zoo. It was Pierson's first trip to the zoo and I think he really liked it! Us 4 adults sure enjoyed ourselves :-) After the zoo we headed to Katy to the outlet malls and then finished off the night with PF Changs take out.

Mason and his cute little hat!

Me and my little man!

Mason snuggling up to Courtney... he's like a little pretzel... I forget how newborns can sleep in pretty much any position!

And Pierson crashed on their couch for a little cat-nap. I MIGHT have messed with his hair a bit when he fell asleep :-)

And this is how the boys traveled in the car all weekend. And, yes, most of the time they ended up falling asleep between places :-)
These two are going to be great friends!! The Bakers just need to move back to OK so they can play t-ball together!!

On Monday we headed home :-( It was such a fun weekend and soooo great to hang out with Courtney, Josh, and Mason!
Pierson was used to flying by the last flight... he discovered the old man sitting in the row behind us and thought it was fun to look at him and stick his hand throught he seat at him. Luckily the man thought it was funny and played back with him. At the end of the flight when everyone stood up waiting to de-board the plane Pierson stood up in his seat and was just hollering and laughing at himself. He's such a goofball!
Thanks, Bakers, for the great weekend! We had so much fun!
