The first week at home with Pierson was very tiring, but also very fun! Pierson decided that he LOVED to sleep, but only when he was being held... so the entire first week (plus a couple days) Drew or I was up with him 24 hours a day. I'd get some sleep in the evening and then Drew would bring him in for feedings and then I'd take over and Drew would sleep. Then in the morning Drew would take back over and I'd get a little more sleep. It was pretty exhausting... but at the same time it was so exciting to finally have our little boy. I felt like I spent every moment just staring at him... in awe of how precious and perfect he is! Although he doesn't do a whole lot aside from eating, sleeping, and going to the restroom he is just so much fun!
My sister Christi drove up from Dallas on Wednesday and stayed through Sunday. She came over every day during the day to help us out. She was a huge help and so much fun to have around! She ran errands, cooked us a delicious dinner, picked up other meals for us, and even gave me a pedicure while I was nursing! She also watched Pierson while Drew and I took a much needed nap one time and it was so nice to finally snuggle with Drew for the first time without my big pregnant belly in the way!
Thanks Aunt Chirsti for all of your help!!!!
