Week 9

What a week :-) We had Pierson's 2 month birthday, Pierson's Aunt Megan's 24th birthday, Pierson and I took a trip to Babies R Us, Pierson got into a great child care facility, Pierson got to meet all of my co-workers and see where I work, Pierson had another trip to Tulsa for dinner, and lots more! So last week I mentioned that the place we had set up for child care for Pierson fell through at the last minute... After panic and many prayers we found a great place to take him... they had one opening and we're paying for these next few weeks until I go back to work to secure his spot... but it's totally worth it! It's a 3 star center, it's right by our house, there are only 3 other infants in his room, they have lesson plans even for Pierson's age... and parent/teacher conferences already. They seem very up-to-date and more of a learning center than a "daycare." We're really excited about it!

Also this week... Pierson and I went up to my work and he got to meet everyone up there (well those that he hadn't met already). We were up there for about an hour and a half and he was awake and happy and did great the whole time. They passed him around and he was very content and didn't even fuss. I think he's a good judge of character because I work with some great people!!

Friday night Drew, Pierson, and I went out to dinner for some Mexican. We had been out to dinner with other people, and out to lunch just the 3 of us, but this was our first dinner out with just the 3 of us. We think P-man was a little weirded out by all the bright colors in the restaurant since he was awake most of the time staring at the walls... but he did great and Drew and I had a great dinner!

Saturday I went to a wedding shower for my friend Sara for a few hours while Drew stayed home with the little man. My friend Sara is getting married to Drew's friend Tyler in about a month and we're both in the wedding... should be a beautiful day and a great time! After the shower a few of the girls that were in town stopped by to see Pierson.

Saturday night Drew and I headed down to Tulsa to go to dinner with a bunch of our friends. We went to Senor Tequillas on Brookside. Here are some pictures from the evening...

After dinner Pierson was awake the entire way back from Tulsa. We couldn't believe it! I fed him when we got home and he stayed awake another 2 hours until he ate again around 1:15 a.m. Finally he fell asleep around 1:45 (we have GOT to get his bed time adjusted earlier... the little fella LOVES to stay awake really late) and then he slept until 9:30a.m.!!!!! That's his longest sleep yet!!! Drew and I were awake in the morning just waiting for him to wake up! It was awesome!!!!!
