Week 7

So last Monday Pierson and I went to my friend Sabrina's for lunch with Sabrina and her two kiddos (Emma and Jenna), Megan H, and Marcie and her two kiddos (Jordan and Jase). It was so fun to hang out with the girls and see all the cute little kiddos. Sabrina and I were due a week apart but as you know Pierson decided to come 2 1/2 weeks early, so in this picture Pierson was 6 weeks 1 day and Jenna is 4 weeks. (And check out how much hair precious little Jenna has at 4 weeks... she's just so cute! Possible future girlfriend for the P-man???)
Sabrina, Jenna, Me, & Pierson
So I wasn't very good at taking a lot of pictures this week... and a few people have asked about Pierson's nursery... so I thought I'd put some pictures up of his room! He hasn't slept in his room just yet... since he's still getting up to breastfeed in the middle of the night he's still in the bassinet in our room... but hopefully soon he'll be sleeping more and sleeping here!

This is Pierson's crib

And his bedding... Polka Dots... Yes, I know he's a boy... but while he's young and doesn't know any better I decided that I get to pick something cute AND boyish... Hey... it's blue! :-)
And this is the first time he ever laid in his bed :-)
(This is one of the picture that my friend Betsy took)

And these are the letters that hang over his crib... My friend Britney MADE them!!! Isn't she talented! I love them! The girls gave them to me at my shower!

This is the "rocking" chair and ottoman... Isn't it so fun! It's my favorite!

And here is the Armoire that will eventually be filled... right now it just has baby blankets and his bath towels... but eventually I'll get more organized... when he's actually living in the room :-)
And the two pictures on top... they're from my two showers... they are Pierson's 3D Ultrasounds pictures and all the guests signed them! I love them!

And here is the changing table... It hasn't been used yet either... Since Pierson's in our room we have a changing table in there that we're using... eventually this will be covered with diapers and wipes galore!

And these are the painted canvas squares that are on the wall above the changing station. I told Drew what I was wanting to do and one day I came home from a trip to Tulsa and he was finishing up the last one for me! It was such a sweet surprise! And he did WAY better than I could have done!

And last but not least! My little guy has started to smile occassionally and it just melts my heart! I LOVE his smile! This is actually a picture I took on the camera on my phone... because when I use my big camera and try to get him to smile at me he just stares at the camera :-)
Pierson smiling!!!

Oh... and one more thing... while I've been home on maternity leave I've discovered that I HATE daytime television... so I've taken up watching rerun shows like Gilmore Girls and Dawson's Creek... Yes, Pathetic, I know! Anyway~ I was watching an episode of Gilmore Girls and Lorelie, the mom, was talking to the daughter, Rory, and Rory asked how her mom knew something and Lorelie answered "It's a mom thing" and I got so excited... THAT'S ME! I'M A MOM! I've got that "thing!" (not sure what the "thing" is... but I sure am glad that I've got it) :-)

Hi MommyMegan.
Guess who?
Love the pics and it will be so much fun to watch Pierson grow up. The polka dots are great. Who says boys can't have polka dots? At least they aren't pink and purple polka dots.
Tell your mom and dad hello.
