Well I was still sick on Monday so I stayed home from work and Drew ended up taking Pierson to daycare to try to keep him from getting sick before Thanksgiving. I think it was a 24-hour bug because by early afternoon I was feeling much, much better so I went and picked up the little man around 3 (it was killing me to be home without him).

Well Pierson never got sick… but poor Drew started feeling bad in the middle of the night Tuesday and stayed home sick all day Wednesday. My sister got to town on Wednesday and Drew was feeling a lot better by the evening but we didn’t want to chance getting anyone else sick so I took Pierson out to my parent’s house to hang out for a while. Oh… Pierson finally started crawling on all fours that night, too! He has been army crawling for a few months, and didn’t really have motivation to crawl on all 4’s… but tile and wood floors get so cold on his tummy and he just took off on all 4’s. It was amazing! He’s become quite the pro quite fast :-)
Thursday was Thanksgiving and we headed out to my parents house for the day. It was my parents and sister and Aunt Kay and grandpa and Drew’s parents and his sister and grandma and then my Uncle Bill that lives in Florida. It was such a fun day with lots of family! And we only had to eat one Thanksgiving since both of our families were there… so it was perfect! My Aunt Kay loves to cook Thanksgiving so she prepared the whole meal! It was FABULOUS!!!

(I didn't bring my zoom lens so I didn't get everyone... bummer)

Having some water with his Thanksgiving meal
Pierson eats at a different time than when we had our Thanksgiving meal... so he just snacked on some cranberry sauce and a roll... and then we fed him some more later. He wasn't a fan of mashed potatoes this time... he obviously doesn't take after his momma in that regard!
Kyra giving Pierson a hug when he was upset... she is just the sweetest!!!
Pierson watching Max play on the back porch
And Kyra blew bubbles on the other side of the door for Pierson... He loved it!!!

Friday was the infamous “Black Friday.” My sister, my mom, and I have a tradition of looking through all the circulars on Thanksgiving day and making our lists of what all we want and where we’re going to go. Then we get up early on Black Friday and hit the stores as they open… then later in the day we all go and get a pedicure together! It’s been our tradition for the past several years… I didn’t really find much worth getting up well before dawn for… but it’s tradition and I couldn’t miss out so I got up anyway. I did however meet my mom and sister at 5… rather than 4:30 like they did :-) Friday night we had a bunch of friends over… some that live in town and others that were in town for Thanksgiving. It was so much fun hanging out with everyone!! Saturday my cousin Gary and his wife Kim and their two kiddos Max and Kyra came up to my parents for the afternoon. It was so fun watching Pierson with Max and Kyra! And that night we watched the OSU game at my parents and hung out with my sister before she headed home on Sunday. I love when she comes to town!!
Who needs fancy toys when you have measure cups, spoons, and plastic bowls!! My mom always gets out this stuff for Pierson and he goes crazy banging it around.
He would take the spoon and put it in one of the measure cups, then switch hands and take it out, and then do it all over again. He did it for the longest time and we just cracked up! He was definitely entertaining himself!
Our little man after a tasty (messy) Biter Biscuit!
