We needed some pictures of our little man smiling so we sat him down in front of the Christmas tree and I took pictures while Drew stood behind me and acted silly to make Pierson laugh. It seems he's also going going going and to busy to stop and smile for pictures these days... but I just had to get some and this worked best :-)
(This is one of my very favorites... it's my wallpaper on my computer at work... love seeing that sweet smiling face!!)
And my friend Micheala took this picture for us... I am always behind the camera so we rarely get a picture of all 3 of us together... I need to get better about that!
Presents under the tree Christmas morning...
We got new stockings this year
My sister always comes over to spend Christmas morning with us so I got her one too. We spend Christmas Eve with my side of the family and Christmas day with Drew's family. However, before we head to his parents we always have a little family Christmas at our house and do stockings and our presents to eachother. A few years before Pierson was born we started having my sister join us for stockings at our house (just the 3 of us) and we've done it ever since (and of course the little man, too, now). It's really fun!
Some of Pierson's "stocking stuffers" that didn't fit in his stocking
We got Pierson this Work Bench for Christmas... Drew put it together the night before and it was set up in the living room. Pretty sure Pierson spotted it and started playing with it and didn't want to open ANY more presents. He just wanted to play with all his new tools. Soooo... it took us 3 or 4 days to open all his presents from us because we'd do 1 or 2 a day (little things of course... but still he was overwhelmed I think).
I didn't take pics of all the decorations.... but I did decorate my table a different way this year so here's a pic. Drew's mom got me the Christmas china over a few Christmas's and I just Love setting the table with all my decorations up :-)
And it was definitely a white Christmas this year... We even had a blizzard warning on Christmas Eve!
