Week 4 - First road trip and 10 lbs!

Wow! 4 weeks already... he'll be a month old on Wednesday... I can't believe it! Pierson had a check up at the pediatrician's office this week and he's already grown to 10 lbs 1 oz! And 22 inches long! He's getting so big! And he's just so darn cute! Here's a picture from the week... if you can't tell I just love him in this hat :-) This is the hat that we put him in after he takes a bath because he always gets so cold and this hat just warms him right up!

Well we made our first trip out of town with Pierson this weekend and he did AWESOME! I fed him right before we left town and then we headed to Tulsa Saturday morning. My friend Jill, who just moved to Nashville, was in OKC for a wedding Dress fitting so she Hollye, and Epperson drove to T-town to meed us for lunch so she could meet Pierson. Britney also drove over and met us, as did Nancy and Monica. (Thanks girls for meeting us... it was so much fun to see you all!!!) We met at Panera and had some lunch and passed the little guy around and he just slept the entire time. He woke up right as we were about to leave and so Drew and I put him in the car and drove really quick to Utica and I got in the back seat when we got there and nursed him while Drew shopped around Utica Square. You have to know that the little guy is NOT the fastest eater... it usually takes him about an hour or so to feed so it's not a quick process. I guess he just likes to savor every gulp :-) After he ate we went in 2 stores in Utica and he fell back asleep. Next we headed to Babies R Us and Target... since we were in Tulsa we decided to get a few things we were needing for Pierson. After that we headed home and he slept the entire time! Well... until we were about 5 minutes away from the house... then he woke up hungary and mad... those 5 minutes seemed to take forever but we made it home and got him fed and then he was a happy camper once again!
