What a week!!! So week 8 was a semi-"trying" week! First of all I called the daycare that we were going to be putting Pierson in on Monday to make sure that everything was a go for Pierson to start April 1st... keep in mind I had been on the "list" since last AUGUST... and was informed that there would not be an opening. When I first called in August there wasn't even a waiting list and then I called back in January and they had restructrued but I was at the top of the list and they move kids up all the time... so naturally I wasn't too concerned. I called back on Monday and was informed that there wouldn't be an opening any time soon even though I was still at the top of the list :-( but she could "gaurantee him a spot in the fall when school started" What??! He'll be over 6 months old at that point. So... needless to say I was a little freaked out and spent time trying to find a good place for Pierson to go. (next week I'll tell you more... but I just found a place today!! and I love it!!! But we'll save that for week 9) :-)
Also during week 8 I started a new book that teaches you how to get your newborn on a schedule and get them sleeping through the night. Boy do I wish I had read the book when I was pregnant because it would have been so much easier. The book teaches you that you should have "cycles" during the day of feeding, then wake time, then sleep time, and repeat. Pretty sure I had been doing it backwards... letting him fall asleep right after feeding. He sure is hard to keep up to get a full feeding... little fella likes to fall asleep and then wake up soon after to feed some more. But on this new schedule he gets a full feeding and is more content! So the week was a little rough... probably more so on me then on Pierson :-) But I'm seeing a difference and the night Pierson was 8 weeks old (Sunday) he slept 6 hours, then fed, then slept 4 more hours!!! I was soooo excited! I even text messaged my mom at 5:30 in the morning because I just couldn't believe how long he had slept! So we're making progress!!! I'll keep you posted...
Showing off how he can hold his head up so well
And I can't quite decide if I'd rather him suck his thumb or suck a pacifier (if he's going to do one or the other). But... he started trying to find his thumb recently.... here he's ALMOST got it!
Snoozing on grandma's lap!
And for those of you that know Drew and his eyes... he has the most amazing eye lashes! I mean it's not fair for a guy to have eye lashes as thick as his... when there are mascara-wearing girls everwhere wishing for them! Well... if you look closwly it looks like Pierson inherritted those awesome lashes from his daddy!

yay! I'm so glad the book is helping. He'll be sleeping through the night in no time!
You are getting so good with your photographs- I love the profile shot at the end of this post (I might have to "borrow" your idea)!
