Week 11 - We survived!!

Well my last full week at home with my little fella was quite a week! I soaked up lots of "Pierson and mommy" time and enjoyed every second of it! And some of the other things we did during the week: We went mall walking with Nancy! Yes, you read that correctly... we brought the stroller to the mall and Pierson fell asleep as Nancy and I talked and walked and talked and walked. We also went to lunch with my friend Penny one day and we went to lunch with my friends Megan H and Jennifer and baby Cole another day! Pierson also had his 2 month appointment on Thursday (well he was 2 1/2 months at the time... but who's counting) He is already 15 lbs 14 oz! Wow! And he's 24 1/4 inches long... over 2 feet already! He's quite the growing boy! And oh so precious!!! He also go 4 vaccinations :-( 1 was oral and the other three were shots! Luckily Drew always comes with us to the doctor so he got to hold Pierson as I looked out the window... I just couldn't bare to watch! Drew pointed out that Pierson had never really "known" pain before that... poor little guy! But he took it like a champ and only cried for a second... as soon as the nurse was done he quit crying and I scooped him up and cuddled with him. Well~ I've also been continuing to work out... and as I've said before, we're so lucky our families live close and love to come hang out with the little man... Friday Drew's dad came and stayed with Pierson while I went... here's a pic... they had fun together!

Well~ as you see in the title of this post the words "we survived"... Well Drew went out of town this weekend and Pierson and I "survived" the weekend alone! We did it! Pierson even slept the best he's ever slept... he must have known mommy needed the sleep since dad wasn't going to be around to help her out :-) Drew left Friday evening and Pierson went 9.5 hours between his last feeding at night until he ate when he woke up in the morning! I was soooo excited when I woke up! Saturday night he went 8 hours! I was so thankful for all the sleep! And 2 good nights in a row! Well we hung out all day Saturday and of course I took lots of pictures... He has recently started sticking out his tongue sometimes when he gets excited... it just cracks me up!

Well Saturday afternoon I talked to my parents, who had some friends out helping them burn on their land, and they said Pierson and I could join them for dinner if we wanted... so we headed out to their house. It was great for both of us... they got to hang out with Pierson and I had a little help for a few hours :-) Sunday I needed to head to T-town to get some last minute things before I started back at work, and my mom needed to take some things to my cousin, so she joined us and was a great help!! (Thanks mom!) We went by my cousin Gary's and Kim's house and visited with Kim, Kyra, and Max... here are some pictures :-)

Well after almost 12 hours in 3 different airports, delayed a few hours, and part of his luggage M.I.A. Drew finally got home around 10:30 Sunday night. While we did "survive" without him we were soooooooo glad he was finally home!!!!!!!! And he's not going away again for a while :-) We missed him too much!!!
