To my little man:
It is just so crazy how fast these past 6 months have gone by. You are developing such a fun personality and growing up so fast. You have the most precious smile that melts my heart every time I see it. You also have a laugh that brings me COMPLETE joy! Your dad and I are so blessed!! You are such a happy, laid back little fella and we are constantly getting comments on what a good little guy you are when other people are around (we don’t know what we did to deserve such a sweet little guy… but no complaints here). Some of my favorite things about being your mommy are:
- Seeing you when you first wake up in the morning… you stretch for a long time and you look up with your sweet eyes and smile so big!
- My favorite part of the day, though, is when your daddy gets home… the second you see him you have the biggest grin on your face and I think it makes my heart skip a beat every time. I love see how much you love seeing him!
- When I pick you up after work every day when you first see me you get really excited… I miss you more than you could ever know during the day so it makes me happy to see that you missed me too… even though I know you have a great time during the day!
- You are such a snuggle-bug! You have recently started falling asleep on my shoulder sometimes and I love it! I just don’t want to put you down when you lay your little head on my shoulder!
- It is so fun to watch you discover new things… first it was your hands… then toys… and recently your toes! And you are really starting to grab at everything… nothing is safe on the table in front of your little curious hands. It’s so neat to see your little mind at work!
I could go on and on about everything you’ve been up to these past 6 months… and all the many, many, many things that I love about being your mom... but we’ll save that for your scrapbook :-)
Thank you for being such an amazing little boy! The pure joy of being your mom is indescribable! I love you, Pierson, always and forever!!
