Week 24

(6/23 - 6/29)

We started Pierson on Veggies this week for the first time... we started with green beans. He didn't know what to think at first!

Another 1st this week was Pierson petting the dogs. He's noticed them, but had never interacted with them really. He was playing on the floor with Drew and Bruiser came up and he just sarted petting him (or more like grabbing and feeling his hair... but hey, he's only 5 1/2 months old) :-)

Pierson loves his activity table. He loves to make that purple dolphin spin!

I LOVE it when Drew reads to Pierson. Drew thinks some of the nursery rhymes are crazy so he usually makes up his own words. I end up cracking up the entire time... but Pierson is so young he just thinks his daddy is reading to him :-) As he gets older daddy is going to have to think of better stories to tell because I don't think the "gangster Peter Cotton tail" is probably very appropriate :-) But it sure does make mommy laugh!

AND it puts Pierson right to sleep :-)

First Night Away From Pierson

So I spent my first night away from Pierson on Saturday. My friend Jill is marrying Drew's friend Nick and Jill's bachelorette party was in Dallas and Nick's bachelor party was in OKC so we were both out of town so Pierson stayed with my parents. I was a little nervous about being away from Pierson so I did 2 things.... 1) I took Thursday afternoon and Friday off work to soak in extra Pierson time before being gone and then 2) I scheduled my flight for Saturday afternoon and then came back around noon on Sunday. I didn't call too many times to check in :-) And my dad text messaged me with updates so that was nice! I did pretty well that night because I was just having so much fun with the girls... but the morning was kind of tough because I'd never woken up with out my little man... I just wanted to see him right then!!! But it was a good trip! And Pierson did wonderful at my parents' house!!

My dad was holding Pierson upside down by his feet and hands and Pierson just loved it!! He thought it was so fun!
