Week 28

(7/21 - 7/27)

What a week... Last Sundya night little P was up every single hour during the night... he seemed to feel okay when we woke up in the morning... but I got a call and had to go get him around 3. He wouldn't eat for them and hadn't slept all day, either. I got him home and he fell asleep in my arms and slept for 2 1/2 hours! That must have done the trick because Tuesday he was back to himself... happy and energized :-) Tuesday evening P and I took a trip to T-town to have dinner with some of my pledge sisters from college... it was so fun to catch up and to introduce them to Pierson! He was perfect on the trip... he slept the whole way there, was happy and fun during dinner, and then slept the whole way home! Friday I took off work and we hung out and played most of the day. I went to lunch with my friend Penny and ran a few errands. Friday night Gogo and grandpa Mike watched Pierson and Drew and I headed to T-town for dinner with some friends for our friend Shane's birthday. It was a ton of fun! And Pierson had a great time with his grandparents. The rest of the weekend Drew, Pierson, and I just hung out! Here are some pics from the week...

He has gotten where he doesn't like laying down to play with his toys anymore... he wants to sit up... always!

I bought him some alphabet/number foam tiles and we're going to put them on the floor in the office/playroom. I put a few together and tried them out and he loved them!

Pierson eating Prunes with his daddy... mmmmm! :-) Our little man is so funny... out of all the fruits and veggies he's tried he seems to like the taste of prunes the best... even more than bananas and apples! Silly little man!

Like father like son! He has recently discovered the remote and LOVES it! I have a feeling I'm NEVER going to get control of that thing once he's old enough to watch TV.

The other night Pierson fell asleep when I was holding him on the couch... and well you've heard how much he loves to stand... well he started STANDING UP IN HIS SLEEP! Drew and I were cracking up! He was standing up... and out of it! It was hilarious!

I just LOVE his smile!!!

So Pierson was born with blue eyes... and within the past 2 or 3 weeks they've started changing color. I've given up on the blue eyes... but I'm holding out for green :-) Right now they're a really pretty green color... but who knows if they'll go to brown. We'll keep watch...

So not only does he like to grab at his toes... today he started putting them in his mouth! Silly little man! Everything goes straight to his mouth these days!!!

Bob and dada

So Pierson is quite the little "chatter" these days. He loves to hear himself "talk" and, of course, makes Drew and I laugh all the time! About a week or two ago Drew came downstairs and told me Pierson had said his first word. When I asked what he said Drew told me he had said "Bob!" What??? Well Pierson was making the 'B' sound and probably was saying ba ba ba... but it definitely sounded more like "Bob Bob Bob" And he did it again and Drew was like "See!??" It was hilarious! Then this weekend he was saying da da da da a TON! And at one point Drew walked in the room and he said Dada... and I got super excited! I asked Drew if that could count as his First Word... but Drew said it couldn't... he was just practicing his D sounds and happened to say it at the same time he saw Drew. It was really cute though.... so hopefully in the next few months we'll get that First Word and eventually have ourselves a little talker :-)
