Week 37

(9/22 - 9/28)
Wow! A lot to update on since I last posted! Well we continued to let Pierson “cry it out” during the night and it has paid off… he still wakes up from time to time and cries, but he goes back to sleep on his own and he’s never awake more than 2 or 3 minutes. I took the bumpers out of his bed (breathing hazard) and so there are times when he twists all around and gets a foot through the slats… but those are few and far between and that cry is different than the rest so we know to head upstairs :-)
Well last weekend we kept Pierson on his tummy ALL weekend it seemed like. Every minute that he was awake at home and not sleeping we had him on his tummy and by the end of the weekend he was starting to move A LITTLE! Well on Monday he officially started “army crawling” and has proceeded to master this skill in no time! He is all over the place and LOVES his new-found mobility. It’s amazing how fast he went from immobile to mobile and it’s so much fun to watch him explore!
He decided to leave his toys and explore the rest of the house!

He also discovered drawers this week and how much he likes to open them!

And I walked to the kitchen from the living room and the next thing I know he's peering at me from between the couches. It was hilarious!

One of my best friends, Britney, owned THREE dance studios! She's super talented and always amazes me! She has a dance studio here in town and is in town on Mondays. Her hubby, Ryan, comes to town, too, and comes over to watch Monday Night Football with Drew. After Brit is done teaching she comes over, too.

On Thursday night Drew and I went to the Taylor Swift/Rascal Flatts concert in Tulsa at the new BOK Center. We went with Drew's parents and it was such a great concert! I have always wanted to see Rascal Flatts in concert!

On Friday I took the day off work! My friend Nancy is an AMAZING photographer and she has been learning a lot about Photoshop lately. She came over for a couple hours in the morning and she gave me a little lesson on Photoshop. I got Photoshop Elements from Drew several months ago but I haven't known how to use it. I still have a LONG way to go... but I did learn a few really cool tricks when she was over. And I've been playing around with it a lot when Pierson goes to bed... here's one of the pictures I photoshopped...

Before: After:

And here are some other pics from the week:

Pops got a new truck and Pierson got in to check it out and seemed to be a natural... his hands went straight for the wheel and then he even grabbed for the shifter!

He loves to turn the pages of books... every time I read to him he opens and closes the pages the whole time. I sometimes get out 2 books... one I can read from and one he flips the pages on :-)

Okay you never can tell on these pictures because they're a lot smaller on here... but his eyes STILL haven't turned brown... they're still green... woohoo! Keeping my fingers crossed!

And we'll end with a goodbye smile! Pierson hopes you all enjoyed the update!
