Pierson was great the whole time... although he looks a tad bit bored in this pic :-)
Mimi bought Pierson some new shoes... he just thought they were great! He kept hitting his feet together... it was too funny! I love Robeez shoes... they're so easy to get on their feet and have such soft soles. Since he's not walking yet they're just PERFECT! 
Pierson had so much fun playing with aunt Patty!
She would put things under the "hood" of his little cart and he would open it up and get them out.
And he did great sitting on it... he thought it was too fun! 
She even let him chew on the string of her jacket... it was hilarious! 
He had fun hanging with Pops, too!
He had so much fun with his great aunts! On Tuesday my other 2 aunts on this side of the family, Kay and Edna, came to Table Rock, too. We all hung out, shopped, and had a great dinner!
Pierson did great in the car! He usually sleeps a ton in the car but he ended up only sleeping an hour so I sat in back with him to entertain him. By the end of the trip he was hungry and exhausted so I fed him when we were almost home and he wanted to spoon afterwards... here he is sleeping with the spoon in his hand... it just cracked us up!
We had a lot of fun on our little mini-vacation! It was so fun to spend all day with Pierson (and Drew, of course) for 5 days straight!! And of course time with the rest of our families is always so much fun! It wasn't too bad going back to work on Thursday... knowing we only had 2 work days until another 2 days off! Even more time with the little man!
On Saturday Drew headed out for a camping trip with a bunch of his guy friends. I don't know how much of a "true" camping trip it was... they brought a satellite and flat screen TV to their campsite to watch all the football games :-) He had a lot of fun though! Pierson and I just hung out all day and ran a few errands. And of course watched the OSU game... GO COWBOYS! We're ranked #8 now!!!

This was Pierson on Thursday morning before we left the house... I think he looks like a young BOY in those pants... not so much like an almost-9-month-old!
One of his favorite things to do is tear paper so I gave him one of my magazines and he went to town tearing the pages... he thought it was so fun!
He looks onery in this pic... hopefully it's not a sign of things to come :-) hahaha
Of course he had to sport his new OSU jersey on Saturday! Go Cowboys!
And my 3 aunts got him 3 toys that make sounds/music (a frog, a chicken, and a duck) on our trip and he just LOVES them! Here he is playing with the frog... it just cracks him up!!!
And an update on Pierson's sleeping... We do not have to go up to his room during the night any longer... he's doing so great! He's also been sleeping a lot longer... he goes to bed between 7:30 and 8:00 and he usually sleeps until 7:00 or 7:30! BUT nights when we're away from the house (like out to dinner or at a friends house) he'll occasionally stay up later and he seems to do great with that, too. When he goes to bed he still usually goes for his 11 hours or so of sleep. When we were on our trip this week there were a few times when he was up until 9:30 or so and then he slept until 8:30 the next morning. Drew and I sure did like that! And he still just takes 1 nap a day... but it's 1 LONG nap... usually between 2 hours and 3 hours! I don't like to let him go much longer than that... so there has been a time or 2 that I've woken him up at 3 hours. He sure does like his sleep... just like his momma!
