Week 40

(10/13 - 10/19)

Wow it sounds so crazy to say 40 weeks!!! My little man is growing so much!!! He turned 9 MONTHS OLD on monday! It's so hard to believe! He had his 9 month check-up this week, too. We went to our new pediatrician and again I just am sooo happy with him! He is so helpful and full of information and ideas and we just really like him! Pierson checked out great and seems to be right on target... our little chunk-a-roo :-) Here are some pictures from the week:

Pierson got his first haircut on Thursday. He definitely takes after his dad with his hair... I think I was bald until I was 3 :-) Pierson's hair was already growing past the tops of his ears! He did great for the haircut!

And since we were downtown we went by Sweet P's and saw Go-Go after the haircut! Pierson got some good lovin's from her while we got to shop around

Our weekend in Arkansas
On Friday Drew, Pierson, and I headed over to Arkansas to have a weekend with some friends. These girls and I met back in middle school/high school and have stayed super close ever since. We were all in eachothers weddings, we talk all the time, and we jump at the chance to visit eachother any time we can! We like to make at least one special trip a year to visit eachother... 2 years ago we went to DC when Jill lived there, last year to St. Louis to visit Laura and Jonathan, and this year to Arkansas to Britney and Ryan's. It's always been just the girls in the past, but this year we decided to let the husbands come along. They have all become great friends and they have just as much fun together as we all do :-) Well not only did the husbands get to come, but Pierson got to join us as well. I have the most amazing friends in the whole entire world! They are so incredibly wonderful with Pierson and it was so special that they asked him to come along, too. Britney and Ryan bought a new house and it's absolutley BEAUTIFUL!!! We had so much fun! We all got their Friday night and just hung out. Then Saturday the boys played golf and the girls shopped and visited 2 of Britney's dance studios (yes... she's my age and has THREE dance studios! WOW!). Saturday night the boys got steaks and we all cooked dinner and just hung out at their house again. It was so much fun!!! Those girls are my soul food!

Laura just finished her Masters this summer so we got her a little congratulations gift. She's the most amazing first grade teacher... her kiddos are so lucky!! I think I'm going to have to commute to St. Louis every day when Pierson starts 1st grade :-)
