Christmas Day 2008

Christmas morning started off at our house. My sister Christi joins us for Christmas morning and stockings ever year so Drew, Pierson, Christi, and I all got together in the living room to open our stockings. It's always so much fun! This year we set up the video camera on the tripod and recorded the whole event. (Once I have more time to upload all the video I've taken lately I'll post some video, too)
Our first Christmas as a family of 3!

Tearing through some wrapping paper

Looking in a gift sack to see what he got next

Santa brought Pierson lots of new books!

And aunt Christi got him this fun "This little piggy" book that you wear on your hand as you read it to him... he loves it!

Santa brings gift sacks to our house, too. Not everything fits in the stockings!

Next we went to Drew's parents for Christmas with GoGo and Grandpa Mike, as well as Aunt Megan and Great grandma Joyce. Stockings are a big thing at their house, too. It's always so fun watching everyone open their stocking... especially cute little Megan! After stockings we open all the other gifts and then we have the traditional P family Christmas breakfast... sticky buns and egg casserole. The presents are always so fun... but I think the breakfast just might be my favorite part... it's DELICIOUS!!!
All of our stockings before we started

Megan checking out some of her new coloring books!

Oh! You know how Pierson has an obsession with pushing things around the house... well Drew's dad got this chair in place for Drew's grandma to sit down before we started on the gifts... Pierson went right over and started pushing it away...
Ooops :-) Sorry Great Grandma Joyce!

Pierson got to open this super fun tractor that he could push all around... no more pushing great grandma's chair :-) This little tractor is too cute... it even has a basket behind it on wheels, too, to put stuff in!

Watching GoGo open a gift

And helping Grandpa Mike with a gift

After we were through at Drew's parents we headed home, changed out the presents, and then headed out to my parent's house. There is normally quite a few people there, but this year there were only 12 of us... it was still lots of fun... but we missed everyone who couldn't make it! We hung out for a while, ate, played with Pierson, and then opened gifts.

Opening a present from Aunt Christi

Waiting to open this big fun gift... what could it be??

Pierson's Great Aunt Kay, Great Aunt Patty, and Great Uncle Bobby got him this OSU rocking chair! It's the cutest little chair I've ever seen and he just looks precious in it!!!

My parents got him this shopping cart that he can push all over the place... it talks and sings and he had a ball pushing it all over the place!

Trying to help Aunt Christi open a gift

(Ever since we got married Drew's parents join my family's Christmas celebration... we're so blessed our parents are such great friends!)
